Assistant Director of Patient Services sought for full-time position.
This position involves responsibility for assisting in the administration and supervision of our Certified Home Health Agency. EOE.
Previous management experience in a Home Care agency and quality assurance is preferred.

Typical Work Activities:
- Assists the Director of Patient Services in planning, initiating and directing the nursing program;
- Acts for the Director in his or her absence;
- Assists in developing and evaluating the nursing service, in relation to the total health program;
- Plans and coordinates in-service educational programs and provides educational guidance for nursing staff and the Home Health Aide staff;
- Participates in recruitment, employment and assignment of nursing staff and Home Health Aides;
- Participates in professional conferences;
- Develops manuals, guides and other materials for use by nursing staff and the Home Health Aides;
- Conducts statistical surveys of health program activities;
- Supervises nursing practice to ensure a high quality of professional services and maintenance of agency standards
Minimum Qualifications:
Either:
(A)Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Master's Degree in Nursing and one year of full-time paid experience or its part-time equivalent in community health nursing; OR
(B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and two years of full-time paid experience or its equivalent in community health nursing
Special Requirements for Acceptance of Applications:
Eligibility for a New York State Registered Professional Nurse's license at time of application. Possession of the license at time of appointment.

Registered Professional Nurses sought for per diem.
This position is a professional nursing position which involves responsibility for coordinating individual patient care and for performing nursing services requiring substantial specialized judgment and skills.
Minimum Hire Rate: $20.46/hr. Excellent fringe benefits including health insurance and New York State Retirement offered. EOE.
Typical Work Activities:
- Provides skilled nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders;
- Instructs patient, family members, and others regarding health care including physical needs, emotional well-being, diet therapy, and other aspects of rehabilitative and long-term care;
- Administers medication and observes for adverse reactions;
- Supervises paraprofessional nursing personnel engaged in care of patients;
- Coordinates patient care with nutritionists, social workers, physical therapists, physicians, and other community workers;
- Provides for the continuity of patient care by promoting referrals of hospital and clinic patients to appropriate community agencies;
- Compiles and uses records, reports, and statistical information for evaluation and planning of the assigned programs;
- May recruit Home Health Aides, conduct in-service orientation and training, and schedule their assignments
Minimum Qualifications:
New York State driver’s license, possession of a limited permit to practice, or licensure and current registration as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State at time of appointment are required.
